1] Does my background have to be in artistry for me to be a good tattoo artist?
No you don't. Of course it most definitely helps if you are artistically gifted, however it is not required. Throughout
the program you will learn proper mechanics and precision which are important in perfecting any tattoo.
2] What are some of your payment arrangements and do you offer any kind of financing?
The majority of our students pay by cash, money order or a certified check. The course is offered at such an
affordable price tat you can get a loan through your bank or you may seek support through your family and friends.
However, YB Normal does offer a payment plan through the program that helps students take the course program
and lessen the burden and stress of being able to afford it.
3] Do I have chance in actually tattooing throughout the program?
You most certainly will. This program is not only theory but very practical based as well. As a student you will be
tattooing on practice skin, then once you are comfortable we have clients who are aware of your status and are
willing to be tattooed at a reduced rate. The goal for you as a student and of the program is to perform a minimum
of 5 tattoos while taking the course.
4] How much money can I make as a tattoo artist?
The answer to this question varies upon your effort, performance and the professionalism you possess. The average
cost of a tattoo according to size and colour is approximately $80 - $100 dollars. Basically when you put the numbers
down on paper you're looking at:
1 tattoo equals the average cell phone bill.
2 tattoos equals the average monthly car insurance payment
3 tattoos the average compact car payment.
8 tattoos the average payment of a 1 bedroom apartment.
14 tattoos an all inclusive trip down south.
25 to 30 tattoos pays back the cost of the apprenticeship program.
5] Do I receive any equipment at the end of the course program?
Yes you do. Your program fees include the following: The cost of a 12-week program, a tattoo machine, power
unit, foot switch, clip-cord, tubes, needles and ink designs.
6] How do I sign-up?
You simply call 416-787-4465 to secure a spot in our upcoming class. A minimum of $500 deposit will be required
to secure your spot and then $500 on the first day of class. The balance of $2500 is due by the 4th week of the
12 week program.
